Special Steels and Metals Ltd incorporating Viking Steels are importers and distributors of steels and metals and provide a variety of services.  We also have an associate company Quality Heat Treatment Ltd which offers heat treatment services for consistent quality results.  We have two branches - Auckland and Christchurch so are well placed to support any needs you may have.

We have a number of products available as stock items or we can import sizes and sections of most of the grades listed in our product categories.  Lead times range from 2 - 6 weeks by sea freight for stock products to 3 - 4 months for special runs.

Programmable band sawing machines (up to 450mm diameter cutting capacity).

Block Saw
Capacity up to 1100mm diameter/ 1100mm x 1300mm wide block.

Plate Saw
capacity up to 4000mm long.

Aluminium Plate Sawing
Capacity up to 205mm thick plates x 2400mm (approx) length x any width.
